I like the material . They dry super fast! I had issues with the Velcro zipper. It kept coming undone. The Velcro could be more heavy duty and longer at the zipper area.

Purchased these shorts with the intention of using them as an everyday pair of shorts. Overall quality wise these shorts are fine. The waist closes with a fake drawstring and two small strips of velcro to secure the waist. The shorts have a protective material (likely to prevent embarrassing moments) over the fly area, however I cut that part out as it made it challenging with using the bathroom. I honestly didn't think the velcro fly would be more embarrassing and well annoying then it was. I wore these out for the first time to run some errands with my 9 year old and 11 year old kids. The first thing I didn't really think about was with that material that I cut out from the fly, it leaves an opening between the two pieces of velcro that secure it. Therefore my son had to tell me that my boxers were peeking through the opening while we were seated having lunch. Then later on as we were walking around in the store, I had to reach up to get something which in the process made the top piece of velcro tear off and my shorts nearly fall around my ankles leaving me standing there in my green checkerboard boxers. So there I am nervously pulling my shorts up and trying to get the velcro to stick and I think I literally spent 5 minutes panicking as it wouldn't stick or having my boxers get in the way where it would annoying the velcro would stick to my boxers. This continued to happen constantly throughout the day and it became an embarrassing nightmare. I will keep the shorts but will only wear them if I have no other option.
Went to San Diego. needed to look great and while I was on the beach and also get some cool waves with my Boogie board.
I went body surfing at beach and velcro would not stay together. Very cheap velcro used,
